"The general level of compositions submitted to New Sights Fellowship Programme was remarkably high. There was also a good number of entries with a demographic and stylistic diversity. Some of the composers who participated were already highly accomplished. It would seem that the timing is ripe for such a mentorship programme in Singapore."

“It was a wonderful display of the depth of creative talents we have in our community. Not only were the submitted entries of a super high level, they also showed a broad and diverse spectrum of styles and training of the composers, many of whom are already accomplished composers in their own rights. In fact, many of the pieces did already contain generous offerings of cultural and multi-cultural elements. It’s not only a study of who our neighbours are but an in-depth look at how to consciously create inclusive platforms for all, thereby doing our part to promote dialogue and understanding across cultures and communities.”
